In September 2001,
my life changed drastically. I had to give up working in the hospital as a Registered Nurse because of health problems with
Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, and a non-union fracture in my foot. My immune system crashed and burned! I literally
spent months in bed as a semi-invalid. During this time, I began reading and searching for a way to “escape” out
of the hellish pit of illness.
Listed below are
important tips that I used and found beneficial to restoring my health. REMEMBER,
you are the only one who can make the choice to change your health! The
key is consistency, you have to commit
to make a change and follow your plan!
Be sure and discuss any changes in your health care with your physician!!!
I only know what worked and continues to work for me.
I have listened to many inspirational speakers in the past few years and have heard over and over that if you want
to change your life, change your thoughts. If you do not have the life, health, etc. you want, change your thoughts and change
the way you are thinking. If you start writing down at least 5 things you are grateful for everyday, you will soon find more
and more things to be grateful for. Soon this positive programming will start attracting positive things into your life. It
is a process and not immediate but so worth the effort!
Calendar. Everyday upon getting out of bed give
yourself a number from a 0-10 scale with “0” being no pain at all and “10” being the worst pain you
have ever experienced. This allows you to see the progress that you make. If you have been at a 5 for a few days and suddenly
you are a 9, think about what you have done differently. Did you drink all the water you should have? Did you eat foods that
triggered inflammation? Did you drink too many carbonated beverages? Was it physical activity?
This helps you identify
factors that “trigger” your inflammation.
by taking the time to do this, it lets your spirit and the Universe know that you are important enough.
· Detox. Our bodies are FULL of chemicals and toxins. We have to find a way to clean it out. One of the easiest
is to drink “distilled water.” Distilled water has had the minerals removed so it gets to your body’s cells
faster and easier than any other type of water. The next best type is “pure spring water.”
1. I have read that you need to drink half your body weight in water every
24 hours. If you weigh 200lbs. you should drink 100 ounces of water.
2. I once heard a lecturing physician say that, “if your urine has
any color to it at all, you are not drinking enough water.”

I also use a product

- Vitamins. It
is important that we start supplying our bodies with the necessary vitamins and minerals that we need to function properly.
A good multivitamin should be considered.
- Calcium. Women
need extra calcium. Ask your physician how much you should be getting. Coral Calcium helps support an alkaline pH, therefore
supporting your good yeast.
- yeast. Good yeast keeps bad yeast under control most of the time but when we are given
antibiotics for an infection, use antibacterial soaps, and eat our western diet of processed, preserved, and chemically loaded
foods, our bad yeast flourish and kill off our good yeast hence, a “yeast infection.” There is a lot of information
coming forth, about the effects of bad yeast and how over a period of time, your pH becomes acidic. Many health problems appear
when one is acidic. There are numerous products that address this problem but my newest favorite is made by a company called
"Enzymedica" and the product is "pH Basics." I buy it at the local health food store.
- Probiotics are
friendly bacteria found in the bowel and are instrumental in keeping your pH balanced. They keep your immune system
strong. There are many different brands including Kyo-dophilus, Kyo-dophilus 9, but I like the most bang for the buck and
I order mine from www.swansonvitamins.com. It is Lee Swanson's signature probiotic and contains 60 billion bacteria per capsule.
- CMO. Cetyl
Myristoleate. This is a supplement developed for Arthritis, specifically Rheumatoid Arthritis. I had tried it previously but it was a different brand. I currently purchase it from the Herbal Healer.
It is cheaper; the recommended dose is different that the first brand and I had much better results. I have had a dramatic
improvement since I have been taking it. As a matter of fact, I ran out and procrastinated reordering. My joints began to
get “sticky and inflamed.” After I received my bottle, I could tell a big difference in my joints within 36 hours.
I normally take 3 caps/day but if I am feeling inflamed, I take 6.
I once heard
a physician say that anyone with a muscle, bone and/or soft tissue disorder, would benefit from this supplement.

Avoid carbonated beverages! One of the sources
I read stated that, “…any artificially flavored carbonated beverage,” will increase your body’s production
of prostaglandin. Increased Prostaglandin causes inflammation.
90 Day Rule. Anytime you began a new supplement
or therapy, try to be consistent for 90 days. By the end of 90 days, your body has regenerated most of its cells. You should
be able to tell if a product is helpful or not after this time period.
